Eyup Bren They look ok so far, but I suppose it's early days. I can't wait to get the others out, they're like triffids in the windows!

That's good Flo me I'm not that brave, I've only left my spares in the GH then those toms I need are still being bought back into the kitchen at night.

Don't know about brave Bren, foolish springs to mind, but needs must when the devil drives I'm much more ruthless about plants I must admit. I used to fret and mollycoddle, but I rarely do that these days!

Flo its only my toms I tend to look after probably because I love oven roasted ones. I've still got a few left in the freezer but not enough to last until this seasons ones will be ready and I refuse to buy tasteless shop ones.

Evening All The rain eased off this afternoon so I chucked all my possessions (2 wicker chairs, 2 dogs, a trug of plants and 3 sticks of rhubarb) into the car and headed back to Cardiff.
I've only been away a few days but the garden seems to have gone berserk. I swear the mangetout are a foot taller, as for the potatoes, nearly lost one of the dogs in there.
Learnt a lot of useful info in the last few days - like how the Chinese scared away wild beasts with bamboo and that some banjos can be tuned in 2 different ways.
Just thought I should share this in case you're asked at the next pub quiz!

Evening Bren I know nothing about banjos but this chap down west had just been given another one that he was tuning up while I was there. He plays all sorts of stringed instruments and does a passable impersonation of Jake Thackray
