            I tend to use the word 'intolerable' rather a lot. You'd think I like it.

            VC, slattern is a great word.
            While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

              Why is it when questions like this pop up, you can never remember, this just popped into my pea.

              A word my mother used to describe herself (accurately) often:

              belligerent

              Always makes me smile. But it was never without good reason.
