Evening All. Both daleks are full and I have 8 compost bags full of green waste too. I told you I'd been busy. Now it's a case of how do I get rid of the bags?

Dig a hole and bury it

No dig system here Bren I'm hoping to persuade my son to take it to the tip. Last year I piled it all up inside a makeshift compost heap that I made from bamboo poles and the shelves from the three blowaways that blew away. It worked like magic - I grew the pumpkins in there this year. I cleared the pumpkin debris away today and the heap is now a bed. I can't believe the sides are still rigid. I'm hoping to put the broad beans in there to overwinter. I really don't want to part with all the green waste, but I'm really struggling for somewhere else to put it!

When I first started growing it amazed me how fast the contents of my bins shrunk.

I must try and get some out of the bottom of the daleks. I pushed them over last year and re-sited them, so I can't really do that this time. They seem to be really slow to shrink as well this year. Do you think I should water them or something? I've tried the compost accelerator. It doesn't work.

Evening All......been a nice day here - cloudy but warm.

We bunked off today - we took ourselves off to Lyme Regis. Had a lovely time. Arrived home to find a very unhappy Boy. His maths had gone badly, he said. I think there is more to this though I am at a loss to get to the bottom of it, as The Boy is saying very little, but he looked like he had been crying for hours and we weren't here, we'd bunked off. He has, though, mentioned a stutter that he only seems to have in class - he has never stuttered at home. I've explained the bit I know about stutters being confidence/nervous issues and also that, the more you worry about them, the worse they can get. I don't really know what else to say, other than we are here whenever he needs us for whatever problem, no matter how trivial. I'm very worried about him, though.

I must spend the day sewing tomorrow. This won't be easy as #1 Son and the Secret Girlfriend are holed up in the workroom. However, needs must.....

And my raspberries have succumbed to some kind of mouldy blight. I am cheesed, to say the least, as they were still laden.

I'm pretty sure that No: 1 son and the secret g/f will be out of the workroom fairly smartly as soon as you make an appearance and they discern you are staying

Poor Unhappy Boy! Sounds like there's a lot of pressure at school then. Can you talk to the school? Or does that make him feel worse? Hope you can get to the bottom of it and find some way to help.

Had such a slack day yesterday.

I'll need to get cracking today then. Lots to do during the day - I thought I was back to work tonight but seems it's not till thursday, which would be good except I'd said I couldn't go to the pony club meeting as I wouldn't be here.........I loathe meetings.

Spent most of the evening playing with the VSP - business is picking up again
Just one little thing has been worrying me today.........the postman delivered 3 identical leaflets, offering me a hearing aid that knows when I'm in my favourite restaurant
I don't even know which is my favourite restaurant..........its so long since I've been to one. As for needing a hearing aid............you said what?............Oh , Good Night!!
