In October I will be trying out Zipworld near Bangor (I will be sponsored to raise funds for the Firefighters Charity). I've been Googling accommodation but thought I should ask if anyone has any personal recommendations. What I need is 2 double rooms, one of which must be accessible (for Mr Frosty). So can anyone help?

Hi FF, I see ZipWorld is out at Bethesda.
Its a long long time since I stayed in that area but you could consider Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon or Bettws y Coed with the Swallow Falls as alternatives to Bangor. When I worked in Bangor, I'd stay at the Gazelle on Anglesey - lovely place right on the Menai Straits. However, that was 15+ years ago and I've no idea what's available up there now - sorry.

Thanks VC. Will Google your ideas. I'm really looking forward to the zipslide (which sounds a bit bonkers) and I'll probably have to apologise to local residents when my screaming shatters their windows! But it'll still be fun.
