B&Q compost smells like purfume?

I bought some verve multipurpose compost yesterday and it smells almost sweet and a bit purfumy. Any idea what they put in it.

As for the perfume - is there any coco fibre in the compost? That always smells really chocolatey and sweet to me - makes me hungry too

I think you may have hit the nail on the head VC, even the peat in Verve has some coir in it.

All my compost this year so far has been from B & Q and I haven't noticed anything as aromatic as that! I have had one or two big sticks in it.
