  • Next Year Resolutions!!

Yes I know - I'm a bit early but by the time its January I'll have forgotten about all the things I wish I'd done this year So in 2014 I resolve to :-
    1. Grow sunflowers
    2. Grow more sweet peas
    3. Make a soft fruit cage
    4. Do more successional sowing

    There'll be more.............

        1. Grow extra haricot for pickling.
        2. Grow all the peas at the same time and freeze. This year we keep having a tablespoon at a time.
        3. Only autumn sow broad beans, but twice as many.
        4. I hate to say it, but possibly spray the brassicas when I see the first flea beetles and not wait for an infestation just in case it doesn't happen. It will.
        5. Don't keep and pot on all the armpits.

Good thread - need to look back at last year's too. Or maybe not ...

1 - get properly organised (sort seeds etc) over winter
2 - sow earlier, indoors if need be, even if cold/wet winter
3 - get outdoor prep done regardless of the weather
4 - cut down work hours to have more free time for the veggies
5 - get the wife to cut down her work hours too so she can enjoy the veggies more
