I've been here but mainly lurking.....
Anyways here is what I've been up to .......

I pointed out that the pattern was just tissue; it wouldn't know what fabric she had used, but she said 'No, you don't understand, this pattern is only for flowery fabrics' No, no, it really isn't honestly - but there was no persuading her and she couldn't accept that the same didn't come in a plain version.

You could have used a felt tip pen to colour in the illustration Jules

I don't think she'd have taken a blind bit of notice, so convinced was she that that particular pattern was only for a specific floral pattern fabric. I did show her a Vogue pattern that I have made up in several fabrics but she said that was all very well, as I was an experienced dressmaker.......I gave up.

Evening all. Sorry if the gas seems a bit low on all your ovens at the mo - it's my fault as I have ratatouille on the hob, chicken in the oven, spuds on the top, and the maslin pan with a couple of massive pork hocks in from the farm shop (�2.50 - bargain!). Just need to heat the gravy in the milk pan and put pan of veg on, and it's a full house.

Some peeps are beyond help, Jules! It's worth working in the shop just to hear those gems. Well, put it this way, it's worth you working in the shop so that you can report back to us those gems.

I'm thinking on starting off a batch of blackberry burst tea bag wine (I could take some pics for MrsCordial) - but I've run out of rings to simmer the tea bags on...

Or I could have a wallow in the bath, or run the long seams on my quilt.

Morning all - nice here too! Just going to give the GH a damn good water as we are off again! Down to Herefordshire for a family celebration of our wedding - Sunday lunch with all the relatives in a fabulous 'gastro-pub', then we are staying the night at my folks and off to South Wales tomorrow - 'castling'! Staying Monday night in Cardiff then home on Tuesday. I have devised a plan of attack. We've actually visited many of them before, but over 15 years ago and since OH had his tumour he has lost a few memories, so we're going back for a refresher. And besides we just like castles, and there are so many good ones in South Wales. We are starting with Pembroke and working our way East. Probably finish with Chepstow. Have a great day everyone.

Morning we've had lots of overnight rain it looked like a river running down the road, plus it kept me awake a fair bit but not as much as the drunk couple falling out Friday night. In future I'd best keep the bedroom window closed at the weekend.

Oooh Susie - you're coming to Cardiff - where some of the nutty nuts can be found I presume you're members of Cadw or English Heritage so you can have free admission to most of the castles. If not, its worth joining at the start to get your money's worth.
With a bit of effort I can walk to the castles at Caerphilly, Castell Coch and, of course Cardiff and there are 2 mottes within a mile of the house.

Just had visit from neighbour - the one who gave me his 10x8 GH a few years ago. He's decided he want a GH again So he inspected my 3 and decided he wants one in the biggest size (of course ). I'm encouraging him as, in a few years time he may lose interest again!! I'd like another GH
