It's that time of year again and that kind of weather so, here goes

Avon Skin so Soft is good too. -
#2 I add a few drops of tea tree oil to my face cleansing water in a morning. I use a flannel to hot cleanse. Afterwards I have taken to wiping the wet flannel all over my exposed bits
and last night mowed the lawn - hundreds of midges out - and not one bite. I am trialling this daily now.

Ooh 4711 that brings back memories along with Coty L'Aimant and Evening in Paris, all reminders of my dear old mum. Thanks for that VVG sweetie, even though it was in reference to midges. Marmite or Vodka in your sweat keeps Mosquitoes away. I have no idea if midges have the same response.

I heard a piece on the Today programme about mozzies and midges - they apparently like the smell of feet! And it does not matter if you are freshly showered and feel 'fragrant', they can still smell your feet, although some people's feet clearly don't attract them. Someone else also mentioned the Avon skin moisturiser.Comment

A full proof method of keeping midges away!
It works really well
Don't exhale
Quite difficult to do
Bought a leather brimmed hat when I was in australia walking along the gold coast
It came with a very fine midge net.
I have to wear long neck jumper , the net goes over the hat and has elastic
Cord around the neck.
Works really well they just get up my sleeves
Also spray the mesh with avon skin so soft
Only me left on the allotment when the midges are out.Comment
