The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whoutit a pboerlm. Tihs is bucseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey ltteer by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Aaznmig, huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghhuot slelinpg was ipmorantt! See if yuor fdreins can raed tihs too.

    The key is that the first and last letter of the word remains unchanged, then the brain sort of figures it out, just pretty amazing how fast it sorts it out. Does make a mockery of school tests however.

      Hmmm...it doesn't seem to work with a second language though!!!! ( well not at my ability level!)

      ...and yup- I also found the English very easy to read!

        I admit to stopping and thinking over some words, but most of them were easily read.

        Where it doesn't help is with words like from and form, the very words my son has always struggled with!

                    It's funny how the brain works, they say that only 20% of communication is verbal and that was perfectly demonstrated to me the other day. A chap came in to work and asked me a question, I answered then he looked a bit puzzled. 'Sorry, I just said that in spanish, how did you know what I wanted?' I hadn't even noticed he wasn't speaking english as his gestures, body language and intonation made it so obvious what he wanted. Freaked me out a bit!
