You need foxes for the rabbits and then a terrier to see off the foxes.

Its the rabbit problem!! I'm just trying to build little boxes/cages/trampolines
to keep them at bay. I'm about to adapt a 2 drawer thingy into a planter - using the drawers as mini raised beds, and the carcass as another planter - then there's the bookcase on its back, just waiting to be filled with soil........
gets more like Steptoe's yard by the day.

Give yourself a break and don't worry about the edging - just sow seeds, that's what I do!!!

I'll probably burn it after my attempts to make something from it

Bu@@er raised beds! Use the wood for a bonfire, chuck a couple of spuds in while its burning, wrap some fish in foil and throw that in too. Get the wine out with some olives while you wait and ta da- The wood is not wasted and you've got yourself dinner!

Not necessarily - I think they can stand pretty well or bang posts infront of and behind. You could grow both sides then.Last edited by VirginVegGrower; 27-04-2013, 09:38 PM.

I have weak arms/shoulders too, Lynne. I was virtually paralysed a few years ago and lost a lot of strength. I needed physio for months before I could lift my arms above shoulder level. Its just like a bad dream now,Originally posted by wizzbang View PostGood luck Chicken. Have you got a saw to saw through them to make them into two the same. It sounds very hard work. I wouldn't try it but i've got arthritic shoulders and sawing hurts them. I like giving things a good bashing with a hammer though.
Anyway, good luck x

Mr VVG has just built me two beds at home. He bangs four pegs in and screws board to the pegs. He buys them from Harlows Timber I think. We need a trip to Wales. Look at my Twitter - I will stick a pic up.

I'm more concerned about the reassembly than the dismantling.
If I can cut through the blocks, horizontally and between the inner and outer "sides" of a pallet , I could make a 3 plank high square bed from one pallet
I'm sure there must be a circular saw here - wonder if that would do it?
