Something has been niggling me so I have just had a quick dig in my library and found what I was looking for.
There where basically to types of cement roofing panel made, the one we all know as asbestos, this was mixed with about 14% chrysotile (white asbestos) and one using a different type of fibre.
On the course I attended the advice was that as the fibres are of a similar structure type take the same precautions with both. I.E. disposable, hooded coveralls, mask with correct filter and gloves. Don't break, drill, scrape or abrade the material in any way.
Dispose of coveralls and mask filter in same sealed bag as the waste material etc.
The thought at that time was that although not proven both fibres could offer a similar level of danger to human lung tissue.

The Screwfix products above are specialist paint on roofing sealers. Like I say may be worth a shot in the circumstances.
