Hmmm, Jules do you like most old patterns? I'm pretty sure I had some in my cupboard that my stepmother gave me.......don't know if I still have, but if you'd like I'll have a look for you.

I do like vintage patterns, particularly 1950's, but 60s and 70s have their merits. I love the garments, but the patterns themselves have charm - the artwork and the history, the things that show up in the artwork; stereotyping, self image. Also the way body sizes have changed - today I make up Misses size 12 (UK) on most patterns and tailor it to fit - in the 1950's I'd have been a size 16!Originally posted by Feral007 View PostJules
