  • Lots of sugar in fruit. But I can't give it up entirely, I love fruit. Berries are quite low carb.

The two clementines were probably 20g carbs. I try not to eat more than 70g total carbs per day, less if I can get away with it.

Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?

    • Went to work this morning, cleaning our local primary school, (sigh groan boring) and discovered my boss had left a bag of mini Easter eggs and some chocolate lollies for me! Aww

      • One good thing about the "winter weather"is it keeps the J.Ws, Mormons & chuggers away from my door.
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

        • The smell of so many things cooking in my house. All of them have some of my produce in them, and they are going out into that big, big, big, old freezer on the deck. Will be spoilt for choice for meals soon!

          • Running out to help neighbour get her dog back. He'd belted down the lane and I'd seen him go. I then heard the screams from her. Anyhow he is safe and I gave the watching cows a treat as my dressing gown flapped open and what made me happy... fresh air to my gills.

Oh, and leftover Curry for breakfast - that's pretty fab, too!

                    • Curry has gone in the freezer here, oh and one lot for lunch tomorrow.

Yes, I wouldn't mind waking up in that house either. Could I have a wind turbine AND a solar panel? Or would that be too greedy?

Yes but neighbour was very grateful for a nutter

Anyhow, modesty addressed, taking my own poochy for a walk over the wild and windy fields, down by the streams and up over the rec to the village shop. Trudging back with papers for us and next door, with chocolate and sweets for kids (essential supplies). Have given porridge and mealworms to chooks enroute up the garden, cleaned snow off my poly and greenhouse. Now it's bacon sarnies in front of the fire and snoozy time bliss!
