Evening wasn't too bad at work driving around with the car windows open it did mean I'd got mad hair but who cares

Checked my GH temp it was up to 35.5c that was with shading, both vents, louvres and door.

Oh to be young!! The warm weather has brought the usual groups of youngsters up to the woods opposite the house. They're heading off down hill now, in dribs and drabs, but the noticeable thing is their skate boards. They seem to have one per group and they go carreering downhill, scratching and scraping on the tarmac until they crash to a halt. Then someone else has a go.
Just now, I was in the back garden with the dogs and heard voices, looked over the side gate and there were 3 youngsters hiding behind the hedge! So I say Hello and their heads spin round looking for me. We're hiding - says one. Yes, says I, so I see. Then another one said, Thank you for letting us hide in your garden. and they scuttled out shouting Goodnight!

Morning All...my patio thermometer says 24c already! Absolutely glorious. Glad I'm not the ones knocking about on Centre Court today...fingers crossed for him though!

We're off to see how far we can get around the car boot........before the BH's knees/ankles/back gives in. And before it gets too hot. I'll just say that again; too hot; too hot; too hot. Oh yeaaahhhhh.....that sounds good!

After good noon folks

Had a busy week down the allotment
Dug up my early potatoes on Wednesday.
Had my first spinach, cabbage, + carrot,turnip & beetroot thinings.
Hoping for my first courgettes later this coming week.
Runner beans are in flower.
With this heat things I don't want are also growing(damn weeds)
Still I'm getting a nice tan.

Afternoon I've just come indoors to sit next to the fan so thought I'd have a read at the same time

Aaaaaaaaafternooooooon, I have a fan on, too, Bren.

Just got back from putting the horses out. Was too hot for them today, so they spent the day inside, in the shade, hiding from the flies.

Walked the dogs, too, and Roxy decided the cow's field looked like much more fun than staying on the track with Oscar and me. Funny how she can get her fat little body through the smallest gap to escape, but not through a bigger one to get back to me. She ran up and down the field, wondering how to get back - still, it gave her some exercise. She's pooped now, laying in the hall, looking exhausted.
