It's #2 son's birthday today. The old joke of the kids ruining all our romantic days has been wheeled out for the, um, 18th year? (#1 son was born 2 days before our 1st wedding anniversary, so we're always too skint to go out for dinner etc then too).

Well, i love making an extra-special fuss of Monsieur P - he deserves it. I found this wine. Love the lable. A pink meal - prawns and salmon, heart shaped place mats , found a great pop-up card....... love it.

My day started with breakfast in bed at silly o'clock just before the building work started!

Sweet thing is that OH found a pot of my strawberry jam to use on my toast - cos it's red...awww.

The rest of my day will be spent cleaning the house and preparing food for tonight- espesh to make my mates feel special.

Nice to share a bit of 'love' around ain't it??

Well, I had a bad startto the day. Went to bed absolutely shattered last night about 10.30pm. Not my usual time, usually nearer midnight. Fell asleep very quickly with my book still in my hand. woke at thebackof twelve, head going zing and couldn't get back to sleep so got up so as not to disturb her ladyship withme romping about. Read for a while but I was still wakened at 5.00.

However, I did get a couple of hours andwoke to a nice cup of tea, a heapof birthday presents from her ladyship, little things + a letter of of intent whichis basically an IOU that allows me to select something for my main present when I decide what I would like. That's one of the things we do. Makes more sense than just giving something that may get stuck in a cupboardor the shed and not be used.

Among the little presents was the March issue of GYO. Apparently I looked at the mag recently and put it back muttering "I'm not paying that for a gardening mag". Is the mag too expensive?must have been on that occasion. Anyway, I do like the mag so I'll really enjoy it.

Lovely valentines card from she who matters and we are going out to get food for this evening shortly.
I'll have to have a kip this aft though or I'll fall asleep during our meal.

Hope evryone else has as nice as a day as I have in store and I echo, Nicos's comment about spreading the love around.

Well, I've had a lovely little hamper delivered to work, courtesy of Neet (she'll be showing her face on here soon enough).

I'm off out at lunch to gather provisions/ingredients for tonight's dinner.

Card and a scarf I had looked at, but considered too expensive to buy that day. He went back bless him. He's getting a chopper don't ask!

This year we are going to the garden centre as he states "I thought you would like something that lasts a bit longer than a week!" He's not wrong, so instead of flowers and a night out, I'M GETTING MY MULBERRY TREE! Hurrah! Well the fruits will be red, one day, for whoever lives here then
