I was on the News many years ago giving a demonstration of a computer database/spreadsheet using Lotus 123 - the presenter provided the explanation for what was taking place. I was then involved behind the scenes as an advisor whilst my boss was interviewd - I think I still have the recording on video somewhere.

The nearest I've been to being on TV was when Geoffrey Wheeler filmed Top Of The Form at my school and I was at the back of the hall with the rest of the fifth formers.....

Yes, but that's how reputations get started, isn't it?

I sent off for the form just out of interest, but it says you have to be available 1-2 days a week for filming, over 6 months, March to Sept. I can see that could be quite a stumbling block for anyone selected. They want 8 pairs, and the only person I might be able to coerce (with bribery of cupcakes) is son no2. We wouldn't make good tv because we don't argue, I tell him what to do, and he does it I don't think I'm 'expert' enough either.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Top Marks for initiative BS I wonder whether they film you at home or in a studio? 2 days a week for 6 months is a big commitment - almost impossible if one of the pair work.
