I do the fluff and shake every morning (duvet & pillows) and then again in the evening before leaping in. Bit OCD now i think about it.

Don't have (and don't want) a tumbler. Outdoors is free - and fine when you work from home and can rush out and get stuff in.

Duvet is on the line in the sun so off for a fluff....

The thing to remember with pee accidents, is to clean them with a protein neutraliser - that takes away the smell. Using a bleach-based cleaner will attract a repeat 'accident' as it has ammonia in, which will attract them back.

Incidentally, I machine wash our King-Size Goose-down Duvets. My Mum has a big drum machine, so I wait until she's away, and bung it in there! (Shhhh, don't tell her!) They do need drying quickly, though, or the feathers will stain the covering.

Fair enough on the tumble drier front but if you want your feathers properly cleaned and fluffed maybe a visit to the launderette is in order?

Well, the duvet is back on the bed and all is good, fluffy and odourless.

And here is the naughty little boy, now banned from the bedroom!
