That's the trouble with East Angular, everywhere is a 4 hour drive away Ailsasyl and Happy Bunny managed to get down to Yorkshire from Ayrshire a few years ago... That's why I suggested finding somewhere with accommodation nearby....

I've never been either to the Botanicals, Aunty Binley, and I live 15 minutes away. (Think you also get reduced entrance with Garden organic membership)

Train fares, depends on how far. To Derby, on a saturday, I've known it to be �15. Though for advance booking, it would be a darnsight cheaper.


It doesn't have to be immediate ^_^ Spring is a funny length here in Blighty! Weekends are probably useful for most folks. I would mention half term, but that always varies.

Half mulled over the idea of borrowing a church hall and cramming grapes in...

Depending on the date you choose, I might be interested in meeting up in B'ham to see the Botanical Gardens - it's been years since I went there.
Us Welshies could even meet up on the train!

I did quick check too - cheapest day return Pontypool to B'ham New Street = �22 - booked in advance.

The gardens do 2 adults and up to 3 concessions for �22 and a group rate for 10 people or more
