He's a cute looking Dog Feral so I hope he soon picks up and acts like his own self again.

I'm so glad he made it - must have been such a worry. I hope he has no further problems, and I completely agree with your comments regarding your neighbours. How would they feel if it were their pet, or child!? @r$eh0l€s

Some would only care if it was their animal G4, and others wouldn't even care then, you can always get another dog you know!
I'm usually pretty optimistic about people, things like this make you lose your faith in their innate niceness for a while. I'll bounce back.

Poor little guy is walking around everywhere with us. He watches you if you go to the other side of the room, and if you leave he rushes out. Been stuffing his face. A little unsteady going up and down steps, and getting into this basket he puts one leg in at a time, and looks like he's thinking how to get the next one moving. All things considered he's great just shellshocked and unco a bit.

Just signed. How can a modern country in the twenty-first century be allowed to be so backward about animal life and the environment?

It's shocking that the poison is legal. How can vets as well as others sanction it? I bet they are only 'paper vets' ie people who did the time at uni but never worked in a surgery in the country where the dogs turn up like that.

Thanks any everyone. Was good to be able to let off steam when I needed to. The little guy has spent all day wanting to be outside, and we can't let him out unless someone is there to watch him all the time. Still a bit unco with stairs. Ok when he gets going but he often stands looking at the first step and can't think how to start. Funnily enough he seems to have know problem jumping on the lounge!
Vet bill was less than I was expecting so I think he has just made it the basics for us. And he's more than happy for us to pay it off, so it's all good atm.

Can you get him a muzzle, Ali? Would make life easier for you both. Glad he's pulled through, poor little s*d!

It's hard to get a muzzle that will stay on outside, that doesn't restrict their breathing. They tend to be like houdini and you find them with it hanging round their necks. Plainning to try and staple and rock the edges of the back yard tomorrow. Just so much work to do, and the weather is not helping at all with the wind.

I'm so glad he pulled through. It's years ago now but I'm still so angry and hurt that my cat and several others died as a result of an idiot putting down poison as 'pest control'. Sometimes I think the real 'pests' are humans...
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Had a google and found this Wire Basket Dog Muzzle for Boxer [Wire Dog Muzzle M4] : Dog harness, Dog muzzle, Dog collar, dog leash, Bite Sleeves don't know if it's any help. I only use a soft one on my staffie to stop her yelping at other dogs.
