I was reading an article this morning, and apparantly they have discovered that within 30 light years of earth there upto 100 super earths planets in the goldilocks zone around red dwarfes. 100 planets that could support life?

My first thought was how come we haven't seen space travellers then.

So I did a little calculation and discovered that at our current capabilities it would take us approximately 62,500 years to travel that far, so why would they bother?

So then I thought about star trek, and picard travelling at warp 9, so i did another little calculation, and warp 1 is the speed of light, but I think warp 9 is actually 100,000,000 times the speed of light. Come on Picard how gullible do you think we are??, light travels at 300,000 kilometres per second, and at present we can only achieve 12 kilometres per second. Dream on Picard....
