          I fill mine the same as rusty Lady , might try Bm's technique . I cut mine in half for things like beetroot but keep them full size for sowing beans and pricking out brassicas into ....

                        I don't use them at all. Got fed up with them going mouldy/collapsing and stuff never seemed to grow as well for me when they'd been planted out in them . So I use root-trainers (find them used, cheap on eBay) and small square pots instead

                          Same as Sarz I've never had much success with them, though I still collect them and use as aerators in the compost bin.

                            I put mine in cut off milk cartons to keep them in place,doesn't matter if some compost misses the loo roll then

                                I do the same as barleysugar but I wet the compost first and then spoon it into the loo rolls. I use mushroom containers too. I cut each loo roll into 3 though.
