Ah yes, Dolly, I have that feeling all the time at present ! I've gone all squirrelly, stashing away olive oil (get it now before only financiers can afford it ), gluten free flour, Rice Milk and dog food...and a really nice, warm, winter duvet. A little bird tells me this winter will freeze nuts all right.
Soon be time to get out the old Full Spectrum Lamp...and Son of Lamp, the portable LED thingie from Argos.

have heard others on here talk of a bad winter,oooooohhh me poor bones,do the lamps realy work at lifting the mood,the one good thing is,i have no nuts to freeze,the one i have in a jar are kept in a warm place,ready for me to eat,

The only thing is, I think the attributes are all mixed up. I don't know if the dormouse is sleepy, but the rabbit certainly is...and I think Alice is Mad.

The Dormouse is definitely sleepy - always asleep in the teapot.
All I remember about the White Rabbit is he says "I'm late, I'm late" and he leads Alice down the burrow into Wonderland and of course, Alice is easily lead astray and a trifle crazy after drinking the caterpillar's potions (or am I confused again?)

This made me laugh!! My builder has been telling me about his new girlfriend that he met through internet dating - she's 15 years younger then him. When I looked amazed he said his brother has just become a new father and his partner is also 15 years younger. More raised eyebrows so Mike regales me with a list of local blokes, all going out with girls about 15 years younger than them.
That may be the norm but I'm not ready for a relationship with someone who is 80

I know what you mean, Veggie. It's a terrible thing to find yourself ageist. Particularly if it grows worse as you get older.
I only go for twenty five year-olds myself...
On the plus side, I am sure that when I win the Lottery I will have lots of female companionship !
