I'm sorry, I have never found the solution to that problem myself... (Possibly because I have never had it. )

However, Haagen Daaz ice cream covers a multitude of sins... (Not to be confused with Dazz, that is very important.)

Have you decided where you are going ? Who asked who, or is it a group outing ?
Clean, polite and solvent with no obvious criminal history (although the latter is optional, believe it or not) - that's all most girls are hoping for on a first date.

Its been the Village Garden Crawl today in aid of the village lifeboat (Not RNLI - so funded totally by the community). Glorious hot afternoon and I spent too much time in just a few of the gardens. How can you leave a garden with fantastic views over the estuary, homemade ciabatta, cheese, fresh pineapple and strawberries, not to mention the wine! Dragged myself away, with difficulty, when the gateaux, coffee and Baileys were on offer. One garden had the local Jazz band playing, another a string trio. Contentment is alive and well and living here!

Ah Veggie, it sounds idyllic. It's reassuring to know that in some places in some ways at least, life goes on as it should. Not everywhere has to be dire and desperate.
(Although like Ouya, I cannot complain. No, not that I have a date, but it has dried up enough for me to get washing out on the whirly - hey, I take whatever excitement I can find ! - and a kind friend just gave me a set of panniers for the dog...so that'll be a kilo or two less for me to carry. )

I'd say, the same sort of clothes you would wear to go shopping downtown. Casual, not scruffy. So definitely not wellies or kneepads...
