I use Adblocker on Chrome too and it does leave blank areas, apart from on April 1st when it was photos of cats! I can't imagine that there is a way of eliminating that space altogether and getting more words on screen.

I'm on Mr z's iPad right now and you can expand the page to get rid of the white bits.
