My Beloved; If you don't like the method or cleaning materials, that I use to clean up YOUR messy cooker, don't leave it messy. AND, don't have the cheek to moan at me for cleaning it, however I choose to!

                          Fake sympathy....

Mr OWG and his Sis (my SIL) were told yesterday that their Great Aunt had died. Neither of them have ever met her (she lives in another country).

We have sent a sympathy card to Nanna & Grandad, as they are obviously upset, it was Nanna's sister and they have not been well enough to travel and see her before the end.

However SIL has plastered it all over FB, about how devastated she is and how her family is being taken away from her and on and on.... what a load of poop!! She has never met the woman and I fail to see how she can be devastated about the death of a 90+year old in another country that she has never met.....

Sorry for chatting but this cut a thread with me after attending a funeral on Monday of somebody I didn't know that well. OK I do think putting it all over facebook isn't appropriate but the event brought back a lot of memories of my own dad's funeral and the frequency of which my friend's parents are passing away now. Was there to support a friend but sometimes events that shouldn't effect you directly have echos of other things or make you think of your own mortality and perhaps SIL has reaslised she won't have her nanna and grandad much longer and that tie to her childhood will be broken. Might be nothing of the sort but sometimes it's not what you first thing. Sorry if I'm out of turn but it just tied with how I've been feeling the last day or so.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
