    Aaah, them were the days! When they made elastic bands that would last for eternity, without stretch marks or snapping at the wrong moment.
    (Not like those pink jobbies that the postmen drop all over the place - definitely second class delivery).

      Well of course veggie, everyone knows how badly stretched the Royal Mail are nowadays.
      There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.

        What struck me more than the ring was the caption under the photo: "Lena Paahlsson says the ring was on a small carrot she was about to discard."

        Perfectly good carrot that - what on earth would possess her to discard it?
