Has anybody found out how to turn off the notification thing though as it makes me think I've got a PM when I log on?

I don't think we can turn them off.

Can you turn them off? Not that I'd want to; I only get a 'pop-up' notification for PMs, which I don't mind, as I'd probably miss them! The likes, just appear under the notifications tab at the top of the page.

Was hoping you can as it's the notification thing I'm talking about (don't know about a pop up, don't get one of those at all but if I did I'd probably want to turn them off too ). Previously the little counter thing on the notification bit was mainly for PMs (which isn't something I use much so it's normally something important when I do) and occaisionally a friend request (which I never understood either) so now it says there's something there but there isn't really if you see what I mean.
