Rant away! They sound ghastly to work for! Poor Mme P, she must feel dreadful. I agree that you should persue this - even if it's just to really annoy them.

I washed one of Mr.G's wage envelopes, back in the day when he was paid cash. Oops! Luckily the Bank were fine about it! We now have a similar rule to many of you, above.

I'm sure I'd washed them at least once during those 7 weeks!!

Yeah Mme P does feel bad, after she'd placed my sodden wallet down in front of me, and I explained to her what she'd done, she was properly upset. I have told her its not her fault, didnt do it on purpose etc, but it just doesnt wash.

There is no danger I'll get my parking cash back, just not a chance in hell. I cant appeal to their better nature for obvious reasons. All expenses must be receipted, and I'm not an MP so I think I will just have to admit defeat.

              Bummer.
That's a lot of pastiche pocket money gone... I feel your pain.

I once put my mum's shopping on the roof of the car and drove home - you can guess the rest. We were so skint at the time and I cried buckets knowing I'd 'thrown' away the shopping! She forgave me though
