Cutting the lawn yet?

Yeeargh -I just realised, I got the boys to empty the lawn mowings into the compost bin - there would have been doggy doo in among the clippings - is this a major problem? The greenery was too long to go round finding everything first.

We have no lawn, it was a case of either drinking wine in the evening whilst sat by the pond or lugging the mower about every week, a no brainer for me really. However a chap at work has just started mowing his large lawn and he brings me in the clippings to feed my lottie compost bins.

Having recently seen the back garden paradise that exists at chez Pigletwillie, I can vouch for the fact that he doesnt need a lawn! Their back garden is fab, lots of lovely plants, a great workshop and large greenhouse, lovely big pond and waterfall, 3 separate seating areas and the best built in barbecue / fire area I have ever seen! Made both myself and Mr D turn green with envy!

I'm with you piglet, Our lawn was mulched with 3 tons of gravel about 10 years ago now it don't need cutting at all

I could 'squirrel you away' about 50 every summer from the Glos/Welsh border if you've a means to collect Snadger. They get trapped with organic walnuts in cages, then drowned, then left on the lawn for the Buzzards to pick up..

You could try squirrel fishing: get yourself a Ginger Nut biccie, drill a hole in it, tie a long string thru biccie and onto a pole. Cast your line ... apparently once a squirl gets a ginger nut it won't let go, and you can reel him in.
