  • Please may I bore you (drawing)

This is my next drawing project - to draw Picasso upside down - which I did

This is how he should look:

And this is after he'd been Suzie'd - poor chap

My second ever attempt at drawing and they have me doing it upside down it was a strange feeling but I can get that it is making me draw what I see

        Brilliant Piskie .

It's quite a number of years since I picked up a pencil to draw anything other than my gardening plan .

But remember, today it's Picasso upside down...tomorrow...The Sistine Chapel. Please keep us posted on your progress and be proud of what your doing .

Speaking as someone who can barely draw stick figures, I am in true admiration of what you can do.

LOL doesn't he just - that'll learn him for staying out all night!!

In my defence m'lud, what I'm doing at the very early nursery stage is to stop at a point where I think I'm finished - thereby showing warts and all.

I'm doing a Design with Plants course, I know what plants I want to use for my Plant Profiles but I freeze at the thought of having to draw them. So - I'm tacking the drawing issue alongside

From memory, I think the upside-down experiment is to get you to actually draw what you see, not the picture as you see it. ie, the component parts as opposed to the whole thing. It tests your hand/eye coordination, and makes you more accurate.

I think. Yours looks far better than many I've seen before!

                        tbh....that's a tad ( * read....quite a bit!!!!) better than mine!!

You are clearly more artistic than me!!!!

I had probs with the length/height ( but that's prob my OH's deceptive techniques!!!!)

I'll be interested how you manage with the shading...I am utter rubbish with that.....esp so with the 'hand'
