Likewise, I get withdrawal symptoms if I don't venture to the beds every couple of days.

Forgive me Grapes, for I have sinned mightily too...

I have had a polytunnel for 2 years now, and not grown anything in it properly. It has housed chickens, ducks and turkeys, but there isn't a sign of a raised bed, or any plants in there

I can't even tell you what state my veg beds are in!!

Same here - I spend my time clearing other peoples' gardens, I can't be arrissed to do mine!

I have had a Polytunnel frame for three years, it still has no cover or fixings. My raised beds are made, but the wood still isn't secured, and keeps falling over. The 'lasagne' layers aren't finished yet, but that's a long project.

Good job I can use my Folks' garden. But that's in a mess too!

What do you think "Veggie-Growers Hell" is like? Bindweed with teeth? Two ton snails? If ever there was a reason to keep your paths, straight, narrow and weed-free.....

It pains me to see it in such a state.

Jobs for winter on the plot:
                    • move compost bin
                    • build raised beds for Bean
                    • relocate raspberries
                    • find new home for incinerator
                    • make herb bed
                    • prune apple tree

                    Jobs for winter at home:
                    • Repair/replace two fence posts
                    • Clean out greenhouse
                    • Replace buckled hanging baskets
                    • Rake leaves (done)
                    • Prune bushes at side of house (done)

Oh, I also need to weatherproof the shed (rain gets in through the top of the door as there's a gap.

There is just no end of jobs is there?

Sometimes I have another sinful thought - Envy. I'm envious of those that either have a shed on their plot, or those that have the space to grow at home!

I'm going straight to a decking-clad hell me.

Forgive me for I have sinned also, it is almost two years since I was last here. I have been here before, and I will probably be here again, but for now I am normally hardly here at all.

The allotment however, has had two years of me on crutches, and has had to make do with little and infrequently.

Look out lottie, you is up for a good a** whipping this year.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

da iawn diolch. Had my last surgery June last year when they reconstructed my knee cap. All seems good now although I have no feeling around it at all, surgeon says it might come back, but to look at where I am kneeling before I get down on my hands and knees.

How about you, all good now?

Not so bad. My ankle still has plenty of metal bits in it, but it mostly works okay. I still have 3 numb toes which they tell me that they 'should' be better by now, but it doesn't bother me much really.
