Another forum I use has a system where you have to add 2 numbers and it will only let you post if it's right.
Luckily they are of the 4+11 = ? type

I presume as spamming appears to be so 2011 (sadly was also 2010, 2009 etc............) it must be working otherwise they wouldn't be bothered. Does make you wonder who acutally follows the links though, you'd think they'd make the effort to make them look attractive!
