i'm guessing this is invitation only?

or would some one care to explain (pm if req) as it sounds to me like an ideal journey.

a visit to france, my favourite place in the world, combined with a chance to meet all of you cyber friends!!

    now that would be fun!!!

and p.s. all events in my household are family events which means bigT, mrs bigT and the three weans!!
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand

            excellent

research now required to see if the bigT family can make it!!

it is a bit further for us as it is at least 500 miles just to hit the south coast..

Northern France....we're not giving exact location yet and it will be kept strictly off-forum for obvious reasons.
                Rennes is the nearest city.

If it makes a difference as to a route etc then you best PM bobleponge

You can join us when you hit the M25? It'll take us 4 hrs and 300 miles. Mr TS would be bricking it about driving in France: I don't intend telling him the final destination until we hit Kent

PS. anyone wondering how far, how long, can check their route here

If you want to minimise the drive on the other side then Portsmouth - St Malo would be your best crossing.

We usually do the poole -cherbourg fastcraft then straight down cherbourg peninsula and onto motorway to Rennes, good stop is the Mont St. Michel services , and to go around Rennes we usually go round the bottom as it's usually not as busy. Takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to Rennes and We've found the roads over there are easier than here.
