I haven't watched Eastenders for years, I just went off it altogether but I've watched 2 episodes this year I think, the live one & the one with the fire the other night. The fire one had me rolling around laughing it was so bad, why on earth has Phil turned into Fagin in 'Oliver' with the silly accent & face twisting, I know he's supposed to have become a crack addict or something but it was so over the top!

I haven't watched any soaps for years. I think the last time I remember seeing Eastenders, Pauline used to keep Martin upstairs most of the time. I must confess however that I still listen to the Archers.Granny on the Game in SheffieldComment

Eastenders is the worst programme on the telly, such depressing stories all the time, daughter watches it and I only watch if she has it on, but I usually end up doing other stuff. Time it was taken off altogether.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak

I've only ever seen odd 'bits' (usually the last few minutes when the following program is one I want), even from the start.
Parents used to watch Coronation Street, but that was ages back, and I never watched it again after leaving their home. I just can't see the appeal. If I want fiction, I want something far removed from everyday life (but fantasy should be INTENDED to be fantasy).
Just like to add that one of the best things about life is... we are all different.Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.Comment
