Finally - after 14 years

Finally after 14 years my bathroom door has a lock, not any old lock but a proper posh victorian brass "vacant - engaged" one.

It resurfaced during my workshop clearout / cleanup so I thought it prudent to get the chisel out right away and fit it before it goes AWOL again.

Yay, well done PW. A girl needs a lock on the loo door, you know!
I've had a day of fixing stuff as well - I am so impressed with gorilla tape and gorilla glue! I've got mother's magnetic 'grabber' firmly attached to her walking frame so she doesn't lose it so easily, and I've patched the soles of her bootees.
And the sowing machine has had an airing for a couple of little jobs. Good innit!

We had one of those on the Bathroom door of our last place. Loved it, for some reason, but didn't think our Landlord would appreciate me 'liberating' it when we moved.
