if they're 1' x 1', or 2' x 2', not so bad. Anything over that and below 2' x 3', get a barrow, anything about the previous, walk them.
Actually, you're going to do what you're going to do anyway, you'lll still appreciate a nice long soak after, so I vote for Radox.

Is the 'no booze' pledge the reason for all the work or are you feeling better for it? (Just wondering if I should try the same)

Don't bother; I haven't had a drink for a couple of weeks and feel like Carp. You may as well carry on and still feel like carp.

We have humped and dumped, we have dug and laid, we have almost finished - I say almost because we have decided to slightly extend it - otherwise we would be finished

No back-issues at all, I know how to use my knees so I does although I do have a couple of good scrapes and bruises where naughty slab decided to drop onto my leg (yes, I was only in shorts )!

Snowdrop obtained a sack trolley which took two slabs at a time.

I then had to carry them through the house - so approx 12 yards with each slab weighing 40lbs - then the bags of sand, weighing 56lbs each.

                            YAAAY me
