That's pretty much what we're planning on doing. Given that I just plugged the addresses into Multimap and it came back with a journey time of 3hrs 45mins I don't think we can get there much sooner.Originally posted by dexterdoglancashire View PostExcellent ta! We will be staying Saturday night, arriving Saturday lunchtime, leaving sometime Sunday pm, I think. Does that sound about right?A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

We have a 253 mile drive which is due to take 4 1/2 hoursOriginally posted by HeyWayne View PostThat's pretty much what we're planning on doing. Given that I just plugged the addresses into Multimap and it came back with a journey time of 3hrs 45mins I don't think we can get there much sooner.
Our only worry is that we had planned a few days in North Wales for our anniversary (20 years since we honeymooned there) and dosh may be a bit tight for Grapefest too. Have to do a financial plan and see what we come up with
but we don't want to miss out on the fun

OOps just seen this! We are still planning on coming, camping, 2 adults and 2 boys age almost 5 and 8.
We can come on the saturday, and not sure how long we will stay, as will depend on the boys really.
We are only in leeds so can be quite flexible really. Sorry no room for a lift.
Are there any other kids going?

Still hoping to come, but OH still 'thinking about it' (but I think he wants to come). If all the B7Bs are full, we will have to camp, no real problem (apart from managing the dogs, but we will sort that out one way or another).Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Geography not being my strongest subject (failed at "O" level despite the ordnance survey map being an area I knew like the back of my hand (Ingleton)). I hadn't realised how close you were to my family, sorted
. I think myself and "guest" will have to camp (sleep in his 4x4) for whichever night is chosen as the main event.

Let me know how much you would like for the loos/facilities ect.
I've got a small stove so can cook breakfast for myself and samwise -but am willing to cook for anyone else (bring your own ingredients)
. I've also got a (sort of) portable gas BBQ - cooking is Mr DDLs remit , but can bring it along if anyone fancies cooking on it.

Bernie, as soon as we know how many are coming, we will divvie up the loos cost between everyone. That's why we asked for confirmations
I suppose I'll have to come up with some formula to make it fair for the ones who will only be 'day visitors'... Oh dear, maths is not my strong point
