    all mine are still on kitchen window, i have been working night shift this week, so decided to check some temps during the night at 3 am was -3 to -7 apart from thurs morn it was wet but was +5, so another month before i put mine out unheated greenhose.

      im in scotland and i have peas, onions, leeks, spring onion, beetroot and cabbage all growing in my unheated greenhouses

          It's common sense really. If it comes from warmer climes it won't like it there. Think of Mediterranean cooking. If it's standard English food - cabbage, peas, onions, most brassicas really, then you'll be ok with them.
          Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

            two lots of potatoes in the greenhouse covered with fleece even though they haven't broken through the soil yet. Strawberries, geraniums and lily bulbs in there as well. Tomatoes and chillis in the conservatory in the daytime (south facing) and brought indoors at night.

              I havent sown 1 seed yet !!!! only got potatoes chitting in the warm back bedroom.
              Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
              and ends with backache
