Worst thing though is the tendency of men to rub their private parts against young girls on the bus. It happened to me and two friends (I elbowed my assailant). My Roman friend told me it's a very common thing.

Nobody did that to me when I was there!

I adore Italy! If I could wake up fluent in another language it would be Italian, then I could move there!

Like Sarz I went to Pompeii - if you haven't been, make the effort, it is, well, just fantastic. One place I'd love to go back to.
