What to grow up a pergola

I was toying around with grapes but think I am too far north, you may stand a chance though Wayne.

If you use the search facility which TS isnt allowed to mention but I am, there are plenty of grapes grown further north than you live.
There are at least 2 Grapes that grow grapes in Scotland that I can think of, so you should be fine if you wanted to try them.

Thanks Bob, I'll look further into it. I just need to confirm that they can be grown outside as opposed to being in a greenhouse.

I can almost confirm already that they are grown outdoors, but age is a nasty thing so may be mistaken.
Geographically Derby isnt that much further south than Leeds, and I seem to recall that Zazen grew outdoor grapes at her place.
