I never dine where 'vegetarian options are available' - I'm a human-bean and like to have a choice too!!! Why should meat eaters get a choice and vegetarians get whatever the heck the chef has stuck at the back of the fridge? It's not like they charge any less is it?

Never really thought about how it was phrased before- but yes- it does sound a bit like "We'll knock something up for any veggies who require feeding"Originally posted by zazen999 View PostI never dine where 'vegetarian options are available' - I'm a human-bean and like to have a choice too!!! Having been 'one' for 25 years now - there's nothing as disheartening to go and see others eating nice food and being served up some old tat that you wouldn't give to a tortoise.Originally posted by Nicos View PostNever really thought about how it was phrased before- but yes- it does sound a bit like "We'll knock something up for any veggies who require feeding"
I have sent many meals back and not paid; and sat there hungry whilst everyone else tucked in to scrummy looking platters. And ended up with a packet of crisps at the nearby garage. So I just don't go there anymore.

My Dad was stationed at Henlow many many years ago. We lived at Shortstown though and I could see the two huge hangars at RAF Cardington and all the airships, ballons and blimps from my bedroom window.
There used to be the most beautiful country pub at Cotton End...wonder if it's still there? That brings back memories of a bottle of coke and a packet of Walkers Salt & Vinegar on many a fine evening.........*sigh*
My Mum brought about 70 tropical fish in plastic bags back from Holland to Bedfordshire in our Audi, Piskie, so I think your plants should make it from Gloucestershire.

Is it still Whites that do MFO's? They were quite good last time I used them...albeit 22 years ago. Yeah, I'll just shush up......it was quite a while back.Originally posted by piskieinboots View PostYou guys are not taking into account that my plants will be moved by military-supplied removals are you

I remember when wives weren't allowed in the house when the actual march out handing over inspection was done. My mother used to sit in the car and grind her teeth...not that the officers would have found a single spec of dust or mark on the paintwork.Originally posted by piskieinboots View PostTis open to all now JA
AND I am not doing another sodding march out - oh no I'm not
I've done one march out myself, as a wife of a civilian contractor attached to an army unit, and although I hated the cleaning, the handover was hilarious. The ruperts thought they could treat me like an idiot and were so condescending until I pulled them up sharply for being so rude. Are they still as bad?

We also brought back live fish from Holland, in July, and they survived so no reason why your plants shouldn't.
