Another one Ginger? He was on with some crafty thing last week, as well as the farming programme. He's popping up all over the place like Stephen Fry!

difficult to pick a past or present. It is interesting to note that other than personal family and friends the choices are all presenter/gardeners. To me Alan and Monty are presenters first with a bit of gardening knowledge. On the other hand I always thought Geof Hamilton was a gardener first and presenter second.Past I am going for Harry Dodds as he has so many wonderful stories to tell though his voice does grate after a while. Present day I would go for one of the giant veg growers someone like Medwyn Williams.

Past: Harry Dodson or Geoff Hamilton. Both so knowledgeable and interesting.

Present: I'm going to buck the trend and say Toby.

When he's 'just talking', rather than 'presenting' he sounds like he could be really good company. When GW let him out and he was talking to ther gardeners, he was much better.
