In no particular order, and also depending on my mood, my faves are:

      Shawshank Redemption
10 Things i Hate About You
      Kill Bill
The Bourne Trilogy (do they count as one?!)
      The Swiss Family Robinson
      Jane,
      keen but (slightly less) clueless

I seem to recall it got great reviews when it came out. I only stuck with it so that I could see Brad Pitt in his "youthened" state and at the end Mr Teez and I looked at each other and said, "What was that all about, then?"
It almost matches my opinion of "Hudson Hawk" - the only film that I have walked out of the cinema halfway through....

Now if you want a GOOD film, my top five would be..

1 Now Voyager - Betty Davis, " Oh Jerry, we have the moon. Let's not ask for the stars!"
2 The Shawshank Redemption. Could listen to Morgan Freemans voice anytime.
3 Apollo 13. Ed Harris, " We've never lost an American in space and we sure as hell ain't gonna lose one on my watch!"
        4. Moonstruck. Nic Cage! -say no more!
5.The Green Mile. "I's scared of the dark, boss.."

Go on, you know you want to....
I enjoyed Benjamin Button, although I agree there wasn't really any point to it. The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile make it onto my top list, along with the Bournes, the Bridgets and the Oceans.

If it makes you feel better, Creemteez, I feel the same way about Atonement. I was so peed off at the end and went to bed so negative, I had awful nightmares! So, I woke up double peed off!

Love The Green Mile, as I do most Tom Hanks films. Quite partial to repeated viewings of the Crocodile Dundees and Smokey and The Bandits, the first Cannonball Run (just for Roger Moore..."Oh hello, I'm here to partake in your jolly outing"). I thought Slumdog Millionaire was brilliant, if a bit depressing!

Seems like we're all agreed on Shawshank as being a top film and a lot of really great suggestions and critiques!

Mr R would watch Gladiator, Troy and Alexander on a loop if he could.

I love the Coen brothers. Just watched a scene from Miller's Crossing today.

On the subject of films you're supposed to like, but don't: I have no love for 2001: A Space Odessey. Maybe it was before it's time, but I don't watch a film to see what they're guessing tomorrow's going to be like. I want some entertainment, a story line and, if it's not too much to ask, some big explosions and a Bond Girl

Is Alexander the one where Alexander, a Greek King is speaking with an Oirish accent? Sorry, that killed it for me - I managed about 10-15 minutes.

One film I forgot to mention, but saw again recently - Empire of the Sun. Love that film.

                            Being John Malkovich
                            The Grifters
                            Grow Your Own
                            Napoleon Dynamite

Juno!! How could I forget Juno (plus amazing soundtrack)

I'm going to stop thinking now.

Now you've got me thinking of Ellen Page - another great film, Hard Candy. Deeply disturbing, but a brilliant film.

I'm really going to stop now.

Films you shouldn't but do - the entire Nightmare on Elm Street collection (I have the 7 disc box set)

Yep, all the Oceans'ses - 11 was the best, and not seen the original either.

Also a fan of Gone With The Wind, Remains of the Day and Legends of the Fall... love Brad in that *swoon*

Was a huge fan of Whitney in her day and for years I used to quote The Bodyguard as my favourite film ever, having seen it about a million times. I've grown out of that now
