  • Vince the Hat on the plot

    Hey all

A very good mate of mine is a photographer and he called me Sunday asking if he could come shoot me at the allotment. Anyways when he does this I know he has something in mind and said go for it. I have the shots now and I love them so thought I would share and see what you guys thought He will be coming back in the spring/summer to do some more when everything is growing

You have that casual look that makes it look like having an allotment is NOT hard work! Where are the pics of you digging, supporting your aching back - or heaving out bind-weed roots?

That's what I was thinking. I always thought 'Vince the Hat' sounds like a gangster name. Maybe 'The Hat' used his mafia connections and got a couple of wiseguys to do all the work.

I will try not to go all techie on you here...... All the shots are using lights set up off the camera in front of me just to the right. The shot in the shed has a light with a white shoot through umbrella through the window and an extra light just inside the shed door lighting the floor. Glyn, my mate is very good at all this and he does video and blog posts to explain it all better than me over at Glyn Dewis Blog

I love my shed! spent ages trying to find one at a good price as in the garden centers they are upwards of £1500 After looking around found it online for less than a third of that..... Raised a few eyebrows at the allotment when it came and i get people coming to have a look every now and then lol I don't mind doing a little modelling but I would rather be the other side of the camera but I had asked Glyn to do some shots for me as I plan to set up a blog.
