    I think that the best thing to do is be the best friend she needs. Always have a ready supply of tissues and sympathy cause when the shock kicks in she will need them. And tell others to mind their own buisness. If they cared at all they wouldnt be so insensitive.

      I was as a home carer and presently work with a lady who has MS and have worked with several others and their families over the past three years.

      I know you said that OT has been in to assess for changes needed to the house, whilst this helps with the practical as others have said it is emotional dealing with the diagnosis particularly as his health has deteriated quickly, a couple of the folks I have assisted have mentioned the MS Society and I know that they visited the lady I look after at the mo to have a tea and a chat, they offer support to family as well as the person
