Seriously, it's more than likely (as Janeyo said), he's making sense in what he's saying, just not pronouncing it completely clearly yet. I believe babies understand a lot more language than we give them credit for, at a young age.

that's my winner. If he goes to form it will be dada. Dads always feel so proud at that moment and Mums also feel a little gutted. However, our beloved babies have not a clue as to what or when they utter. They are just experimenting and D comes before M.

In my experience it's always Dadadada before Mamamama. Although whether it counts as a 'word' is debatable
I think his first 'proper' word will be something to do with food, maybe a variation of 'dinner'?
