I hate it - as someone who has proper chums who are in proper bands that make proper records and write their own proper songs - I hate it with absolute venom.
By 7.00ish we usually sit and watch tv. Tother Half is in control of the whatsitsname and as I have little or no interest in his choice I usually fall asleep on the settee (sofa) (couch). On Saturdays, Just to be bl...dy awkward, I insist on X Factor. I think it is only to make him squirm.

X factor - dumb TV for dumb people. If your stupid enough to think it's about finding talent and not lining Cowel and co's pockets then fair enough .
I watched some of it as I was trapped in a Freight Drivers Lounge in Holyhead harbour .I'm a massive Queen / Freddie Mercury fan and I was horrified at what I saw of it ,I left and went back to the lorry and went to bed. .Freddie and Queen had more talent on the soles of their shoes than the combined excuses of contestants in the XFactor.
Can you tell I didn't like it ?
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

We went round to a friend's house and had Indian. Unfortunately, she put it on. Thankfully I missed at least half of it, but what I did see must have had Freddie rolling in his grave. Urrrrrgghhh!!!

One more thing. Louis Walsh, Vanilla Ice?????????????????? WT*?

Can't believe Jamie went out tonight.

Ditto that - though I do like to laugh at people making idiots of themselves at the beginning when they have all the delusional freaks and weirdos "auditioning".

But then, I don't like football - so I'm odd anyways.

Am pleased to say I have never watched it. Never watch any of its imitators either or the dance type ones. Believe it or not, have never seen Big Brother or that jungle one. What inane pap. Cheap TV that, for some reason I can't fathom, guarantees viewing figures.

On a slightly different note I can honestly say that I have never watched any of the soaps. We do have a TV, honest, it's just that we don't very often have it on. Some of our friends have their TV permenantly switched on (Currys or Comet must sell water cooled TV sets). It drives me mad when we visit. They think we're a bit weird especially when we can't join in conversations about what's been happening on Eastenders or Coronation street etc.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.
