      Cumbria, need I say more.
I'm in flood warning area cos of being on the second street up off the shore (over an old trainline but the high winds shove the sea up under the old bridges) but so far so good. But its hoolying and peeing down AGAIN and I need a boat to get to work..
On the bright side..I cant get to work and as I'm full of a cold and coughing for England I'm chuffed

Oh dear Moola. It sounds really horrendous. Batten down, sandbags up and kettle on seems to be my advice.

Down here it's dry but a very cold wind. Can't imagine where that is coming from. Temp. in the garden is 6'. Nearly cold enough for snow.

Snow? Did someone say snow? Sorry, I'll behave - I do luuuuuurve snow though!

It threw it down here so hard last night it woke us up. Strange day though, it has alternated between warm and sunny but a bit blustery and black as yer 'at with gales and heavy rain the rest of the time. Had a few power cuts too. What's that all about?

I hope all you lot north and west of here are ok - there seem to be lots of peeps missing from the Vine recently. Hope you haven't all been washed away.

We had a spell for a short while when it wasnt raining. Raining heavily again now, back garden has lots of new water features, I need to put my wellies on to go and check my girls. Girls are all OK in their various runs/ghse thank goodness.
More bad weather forecast for tonight and very windy.

Cold, wet and windy in S Yorkshire. Typical mid-November weather really. Heating on, wine chilling, happy days.

It's blowing a hooley here again, and really lashing down. Hope our power doesn't go off again - I forgot to buy more candles... Ooops! We don't flood here, thank goodness, although it does sometimes further down the village. They all have their flood defences set up and sandbags to the ready, but the beck seems to be dropping now despite the extra rain.
There was a huge tree down in the woods with the wind earlier in the week, but thankfully it came down in the night because it was right across 2 paths and could easily have hurt one of the multitude of dog-walkers that use those paths!
My uncle lives in Mungrisdale (sp?), but no threat of him flooding as yet, thankfully.

I actuallyhung washing out this morning as it looked quite promising... half an hour later the promising sunshine turned to promising rain which it promptly did and I fetched it back in again. So I hung it up again for a second time on the ceiling airer.( no tumble dryer). Its still raining now and it's getting windy.
( perhaps I should have put this under what I did today!)

Still gales here (over a week now). I've given up righting the garden, it can just sit until April.

edit: you can see blazing sunshine in the first picture. That was this morning. It's now very dark and lashing down, the rain is bouncing off the road

Good here today. A few showers here this morning but the sun is shining now and the wind has died down.
