Make up a solution of washing up liquid and water, and gently dab the stain out. Have something to soak it up on t'other side of the material??

Used effectively for spot cleaning my wedding dress.

Give them to a charity shop - they'll dry clean them , then go back in a week later and buy them back for a pound.

I'd work some Fairy liqid into the stain (gotta be fairy no cheap substitute) then then bung 'em in the machine on a 30deg wash. My daughters work trousers are meant to be dry clean and I always wash them at30deg no problem. Tried handwashing them once and they shrunk .

OK Ollie - time to come clean. What did you decide to do and did it solve your problem?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I actually haven't done anything yet, it's faded a little and isn't so obvious now, but I also bought some new trousers so will just get the suit drycleaned when I can.

                  Thanks for all the advice
