      The only cat I ever had to dose was pretty placid, at all other times....
      We found that by lifting her onto the kitchen worktop she was subdued, I think because it was slippery under her paws. The trick then was to hold her by the scruff of her neck, pressing down slightly on her shoulders with the same wrist. That way she couldn't use a paw to fight with, being too busy standing on all 4 of them. The hand holding her neck could also tilt her head back, mouth opens, pill in. Hold mouth shut while allowing head to return to normal angle.
      I suspect it might be less effective on an especially long legged cat (siamese shape), than it was on our pretty 'moggie' type.
      Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
